RightConnection General Music
 
    Beginners enjoy a variety of instruments and manipulatives. We offer special morning classes for homeschoolers. Students enjoy performing in our Christmas and Spring Recital programs. These classes are a great introduction to music and prepare students for more intensive instruction in the afternoon programs. As students progress they may join one of our RightConnection ensembles or bands and travel with our performing teams.

Electric, Bass & Acoustic Guitar

This course covers basic note reading, rhythm, fretting and tablature. Students also learn the fundamentals of composition and song writing. A variety of styles and sounds are developed, including folk, rock, traditional and modern syncopation. A great course for beginners lays a sound foundation for future music appreciation and application.

Keyboard & Piano

Individual piano instruction allows the student to focus on new skills that combine listening, coordination and confidence. Lessons include keyboard technique, music theory, note reading with an emphasis on rhythm. Morning Homeschooler Classes are forming now. Private instruction is available early afternoon through evening for ages 5 to adult..

The program instructs and mentors students in and through the creative arts. Sessions include voice and keyboard instruction. Musical training has been shown to facilitate comprehension and learning in core subjects such as math and reading.

Group keyboard classes provide an introduction to keyboard skills, Lessons include keyboard technique, note reading and rhythm drills.

Percussion

Study of rhythm, point and counterpoint and the variety of beats and instruments from triangle to tempani, from cowbell to castanets, from chime to cymbal. A great foundation course for other music reading and skills.

    Right Connection School of Fine Arts gives participants a hands-on introduction to a varity of media both 2D and 3D. The program provides students with a solid foundation in the major elements of art and principles of design while also fostering creativity and self expression.
    A working knowledge of art, its interpretation and execution, provides a positive outlet to express feelings and release physical energy. In addition to classroom instruction, students have the opportunity to perform and attend community art activities. Group classes are available for ages 3-16. Morning group classes are available to home school students ages 5 to 16. Private instruction is also available for students ages 6 and up.
